WPBakery has launched the beta for version 9.0, with the official release scheduled for end of July 2026. Nearly a year in development, this is one of the most significant updates the plugin has seen in years.

The 9.0 beta focuses on four main areas. First, a redesigned CSS loading approach that splits and loads only the assets a page actually needs, creating a cleaner front-end output for website owners and better maintainability for agencies and developers. Second, interface updates across edit windows, controls, and navigation to make daily work in the builder faster and more consistent. Third, new developer attributes that make building custom elements easier, with updated documentation to follow ahead of the official release. Fourth, compatibility improvements across themes, add-ons, and integrations to support the full range of WordPress environments WPBakery runs in.

WPBakery is used on over 6 million WordPress websites, across individual sites, agency projects, commercial themes, and custom builds. A release of this size requires testing across a wide range of real-world setups before it ships publicly.

Beta testing is now open to direct license owners through the WPBakery Customer Center. Testers are encouraged to run the beta on staging environments and report any issues through the dedicated feedback form.
