Jason Bahl recently proposed 3 approaches to integrating the WordPress editor with decoupled applications, via GraphQL.

I propose a 4th approach, based on the COPE ("Create Once, Publish Everywhere") strategy, which can possibly avoid the need to create a server-side registry.
