What is Child Theme in WordPress – Benefits of using it wptechonline.com

A child theme is one that was formed from its parent theme, as the name implies. The parent theme's functionality and design are carried over to the child theme. It can, however, function independently of the parent theme and be personalized. The parent theme is absolutely unaffected when we configure the child theme.

You might mistakenly believe that the child theme is just a copy of the parent theme. This isn't your usual copying, though. The difference is that they are intertwined. The child theme will receive the new features as well as any previous changes when the parent theme is updated.
